Ana Gálvez
I studied a BSc in Chemistry at the University of Seville, where I focused on catalysis and organometallic chemistry. There, I developed skills in techniques like Schlenk handling and glovebox work, as well as in synthesizing and characterizing complex catalysts. During my MSc at the University of Jaume I, I expanded my expertise in material science, specializing in nanomaterials, catalysis, and techniques like SEM, XPS, and XRD. In 2023, I worked on the synthesis and study of nickel and platinum nanoparticles for catalytic applications, improving my abilities in TEM, HRTEM, and ICP analysis. Starting in November 2024, I have been synthesizing novel nanocatalysts based on metal nanoparticles supported on reduced graphene oxide for the reduction of polyaromatic compounds, a key focus of my PhD project
